Trigger & Bait: Hunting in Argentina with John Hughes, exclusive outfitter for the South Carolina Waterfowl Association

Where we are

The different areas we use for hunting dove, duck, pigeon, partridge and goose in Argentina

The weather in Argentina is opposite to that of US and Europe as we are in the southern hemisphere. Temperatures in Buenos Aires during the month of July equate to December temperatures in Greenville,SC in the US.; to make it brief. Our coldest hunting area when waterfowling or up-land bird shooting is in the Cnel. Pringles area; (program N* 5), early morning frost; the wind chill effect plus an early morning start all help to make it feel chilly.
Temperatures here can range between 30´s early in the morning to 40´s and 50´s at noon and the afternoons. Other areas can be fresh in the morning but then warm by mid morning; noon and the afternoons; say 50´s to 70´s ºF.
The wind chill on some occasions when on the launches in the duck areas,
( programs 2 and 4) may be chilly but a good wind-breaking jacket / parka will help
.
